Barefoot Transfers Mauritius is a local, family-run business offering private airport transfers, island tours and transport with a driver throughout Mauritius. The team help you arrange everything from your first journey to the hotel to a day exploring the island.
Airport transfers start from €50 per vehicle, one way, to most resort areas. Private land tours start from €100 per car for up to four passengers.

Private airport transfers to your accommodation
Start your stay with an airport pickup arranged before you travel.
Your driver meets you inside the arrivals area after customs, holding a sign with your name. We track your arriving flight to help coordinate your collection.
The vehicle is reserved for your party. You travel directly to your hotel, villa or apartment unless you have requested a stop along the way.
We also arrange return transfers, with a collection time planned around your accommodation, flight departure and expected traffic.

A private driver for your own itinerary
If you already have plans, we can help arrange the transport.
Book a driver for sightseeing, appointments, a hotel change or a day ashore during a cruise visit. You can also ask about combining a transfer with sightseeing, provided the route, luggage space and available time allow it.
For cruise visits, share your ship name and all-aboard time. For departure-day sightseeing, include your flight details so we can plan the airport arrival first.

Transport for couples, families and groups
We arrange SUVs, minivans and executive minibuses according to your passenger numbers and luggage.
When requesting a quote, please tell us:
How many adults and children are travelling.
The children’s ages and any child seats required.
How many suitcases and cabin bags you have.
Whether you are bringing a pushchair, golf bags or other large items.
We assess seating and luggage space together before confirming the vehicle.
Infant seats, child seats and boosters can be requested when booking. Let us know your requirements so we can confirm a suitable arrangement.
Boat excursions and hiking outings
We can also help you plan boat trips and transport for hiking outings during your stay.
Boat excursions may be shared or private, depending on the option you choose. Their prices, inclusions, payment arrangements and cancellation conditions are confirmed separately from land transport.
For hiking, tell us whether you need transport only or help arranging a guided outing. The meeting point, expected duration and return collection should be agreed before the day.

Are your transfers and land tours private?
Yes. Your booked vehicle is reserved for you and your travelling party. Boat excursions may be shared or private, depending on the excursion selected.
How do I pay?
For standard transfers and private land tours, payment is made in cash to the driver at the end of each journey.
We accept euros, British pounds, Mauritian rupees and US dollars. Confirm your preferred currency and the amount when booking.
Card payments are not available in the vehicles. Boat trips and other activities may have different payment arrangements.
Do your drivers speak English and French?
Our drivers speak English and French. If you need another language, mention it before booking so we can confirm what is available.
Can I cancel my booking?
Standard land transport bookings can be cancelled free of charge at least 24 hours before the scheduled service.
Boat trips, guided activities and other separately arranged services may have different conditions. Check the terms included with your booking confirmation.
Will my tour include shopping stops?
We do not build commission shopping stops into your itinerary. If you would like to visit a market, buy souvenirs or stop somewhere specific, tell us when planning your day.
